Alex Caruso from College Station is fast rising up recruiting boards. Rivals has him ranked as the 10th best shooting guard in the land and 63rd in their Rivals250. ESPN also has him rated fairly highly, with a grade of 92 and the 20th best SG in the class. Caruso broke out at the Pangos All-American Camp two months ago and figures to continue to attract the attention of major D-I programs.
What might make this recruiting process so anti-climactic for Caruso is that he plays his college ball at College Station. Jeff Borzello of CBS Sports confirms that his top 6 has the Arizona St. Sun Devils, Colorado Buffaloes, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Texas Tech Red Raiders, and Richmond Spiders...but it also has the hometown Texas A&M Aggies, who figure to be hard to beat. Caruso mentioned that he's probably partial to A&M at Pangos, so Herb Sendek and ASU will have to work hard to make inroads.
