Diamondbacks Starting Lineup: Arizona Looks To Avoid Sweep At Hands Of Kershaw, Dodgers

For the Diamondbacks and their fans, it has been a tough weekend of games against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

While the San Francisco Giants have lost three in a row to the Philadelphia Phillies, they remain in first place in the NL West by virtue of the D-backs also losing three games in a row, including two at the hands of the Dodgers.

Sunday is usually a day of rest for many players, and manager Kirk Gibson has decided to give Willie Bloomquist, Gerardo Parra, and Paul Goldschmidt the day off against lefthander Clayton Kershaw.

Here are the full lineups for both the Dodgers and the Diamondbacks:

Dodgers:
Jamey Carroll, SS
Aaron Miles, 3B
Andre Ethier, RF
Matt Kemp, CF
Juan Rivera, LF
James Loney, 1B
Dioner Navarro, C
Eugenio Velez, 2B
Clayton Kershaw, P

Diamondbacks:
Ryan Roberts, 3B
Kelly Johnson, 2B
Justin Upton, RF
Xavier Nady, 1B
Chris Young, CF
Miguel Montero, C
Collin Cowgill, LF
Cody Ransom, SS
Ian Kennedy, P

As you can tell, both Young and Montero have been dropped down in the order in favor of Nady, who has not seen game action since August 3 and has not started since July 31 against the Dodgers in Chavez Ravine.
