Anyone who pays attention to baseball box scores can tell that the announced attendance of a given day is not always indicative of reality.
↵For the Arizona Rattlers, the opposite rings true: despite making the playoffs with an impressive 16-1 record, they were left with a crowd of 7,105 for their game against the Spokane Shock in last weekend's quarterfinals, dropping from the home finale's attendance of 9,173 on July 2.
↵Despite the smaller crowd, the Rattlers put on one heck of a show, defeating the Shock 62-33. Rattlers player Kevin McCullough said the following on his blog:
↵↵↵Hello Rattler Nation!
↵
Once again, I would like to thank all of you for such great support!! Last Friday's game, a Quarterfinal win over the Spokane Shock (62-33), was one of the loudest crowds I have played in front of and it definitely helped energize our defense!!
The semifinals bring the Chicago Rush (14-5) to Phoenix to play the Rattlers on Saturday night, with the game scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM Pacific time. To help support your local Arena Football team during the playoffs, head over to US Airways Center or call for tickets at 480-985-3292.
