It's almost here, Wildcats fans. Basketball season is right around the corner. It may seem like an eternity since March Madness took over the nation, but the return of Arizona basketball is finally just a few months away.
Today, fans got their first glimpse of the new team in uniform. The always-entertaining team photo day took place at the McKale Center earlier this afternoon and a team photo has surfaced since the shoot.
The newcomers are Sidiki Johnson (1), Josiah Turner (11), Nick Johnson (13), and Angelo Chol (30). Kyryl Natyazhko has also changed his number from one to 14.
Initial reactions:
Kyryl Natyazhko (14) looks huge. He went home for the summer and returned to campus at 300 pounds, though Sean Miller and his coaching staff have since gotten their seven foot big man in much better shape. Regardless, his size will be huge (no pun intended) for this team's success.
It's pretty cool to see our top-10 recruiting class finally in uniform. They are the future of the program and will hopefully wreck havoc on the Pac-12 for years to come.
This is the first time we've seen assistant coach Joe Pasternack with the team. Good to see.
I miss Derrick Williams.
