ASU Basketball Roster: Bo Barnes Transfers From Hawaii To Sun Devils

Bo Barnes is a product of Phoenix, and apparently even the sunny confines of the Hawaiian islands weren't enough to tempt Barnes away from deciding to come back to his home state. Barnes decided to transfer to the Arizona St. Sun Devils and Herb Sendek's squad. Per NCAA transfer rules he will sit out the 2011-12 season but but eligible for the subsequent season.

There isn't much on Barnes to go by when it comes to scouting reports--he averaged a respectable 7 points per game as a true freshman, played all 32 games (only two players who could claim that feat for ASU), but most noticeably shot 38.8 percent from downtown and knocked down the most threes as a frosh in Hawaii basketball history. In his limited minutes, he was also pretty good at not turning the ball over, but it looks like Barnes was brought on the floor to shoot the ball, so his ball-handling was not a big deal.

As you can probably guess by now, Barnes's speciality appears to be shooting.

Could Herb Sendek have found his replacement for Rihards Kuksiks?
