At 16-2, the Arizona Rattlers have had an incredible season in the Valley of the Sun.
↵From the play of quarterback Nick Davila to the excellent hands of NFL-bound wide receiver Rod Windsor, there has been a lot to cheer about for fans of the Arena Football League.
↵Sadly, Windsor has left the team to get into training camp with the Cleveland Browns, while kicker Fabrizio Scaccia joined the San Francisco 49ers.
↵Even without these key contributors, the Rattlers are still the class of the AFL's National Conference.
↵On Friday, July 29, the Arizona Rattlers took another step towards immortality: they played well at home in the quarterfinals of the AFL playoffs, handily defeating the visiting Spokane Shock 62-33. They are now an impressive 17-2 on the season.
↵Spokane was in it early, but they couldn't stop the high-octane offense of the Rattlers.
↵With the win, the Rattlers move on to the National Conference finals against the Chicago Rush. Since the Rattlers are the top seed in the conference, they will host the game on either August 5 or August 6.
↵We will have more on the Rattlers as the week progresses - stay tuned!
