French Open Finals: Rain Delays Second Set With Nadal Up

Rafael Nadal was just one point from securing the second set over Roger Federer before a sudden rain suspended play. When the rain fell for the first time in this tournament, Nadal, 5-4 and just two points from taking a commanding two-set lead going into the third set of the Finals at the 2011 French Open.

It does not appear the rain will last long so hopefully play will resume soon.

The delay gives Roger Federer a chance to regroup after already having been broken four times in this match.

[Update by Seth Pollack, 06/05/11 8:21 AM MST ]

The rain delay only lasted about 10 minutes before play resumed.

The Nadal vs. Federer match started at 9:00 a.m. ET / 6:00 a.m. PT and is broadcast live on NBC TV in HD and will be streaming live online at NBCSports.com.
