The schedule for Sunday, Day 8, at the 2011 French Open features two of the top men's singles tennis players in fantastic clay court action. Novak Djokovic (2) and Roger Federer (3) seem destined to meet in the semi-finals with the winner (survivor) of that match likely to take on Rafael Nadal in a men's final that would be, as my English friends would say, a cracker. But first, both Federer and Djokovic need to defeat their Round 4 opponents. Those matches will all be on TV on Tennis Channel and NBC with live online streaming at tennischannel.com.
Novak Djokovic faces his highest-ranked opponent yet in home town hero Frenchman, Richard Gasquet (13). Roger Federer's draw is fellow Swiss Davis Cup teammate, Stanislas Wawrinka (14). It's hard to imagine Wawrinka beating his countryman. Here's a full schedule for Day 8 at the 2011 French Open at Roland Garros.
The Tennis Channel starts the coverage off at 5:00 a.m. ET and then hands it off to NBC at noon. The Federer match is second of the day on Court Philippe Chatrier with Djokovic following immediately after.
