Arizona Diamondbacks Take Win Streak On The Road For Rockies Series

The Arizona Diamondbacks are playing very good baseball...at home. The Snakes are 16-10 at Chase Field but on the road it's a different story. If the D-backs want to make any kind of real run they are going to need to do better than 7-13 (.350). A four-game series in Denver against the Colorado Rockies (23-22) is a good chance to see if there's any improvement.

You might have noticed we said "four-game" series but your handy pocket schedule only shows three games. The Diamondbacks and Rockies will be playing an extra game on Tuesday to make up for the one that was snowed out early in the season.

Joe Saunders will be pitching in the day portion of the doubleheader with tomahawk throwing Josh Collmenter going in the evening. Ian Kennedy will take the ball on Wednesday and Micah Owings goes again on Thursday.

The Rockies will be tossing out Jorge De La Rosa (5-2, 3.34 ERA), Jhoulys Chacin (5-2, 2.70 ERA),Jason Hammel (3-3, 3.59 ERA), and Clayton Mortensen (1-1, 2.17 ERA) in the series.

Game 1 on Tuesday starts at 12:10 p.m. and Game 2 is scheduled for 5:40 p.m. with both games broadcast on Fox Sports Arizona.
