Phoenix Monsoon CEO Stuart Starky Offers Answers To Soccer Franchise Questions

Starky has an open letter to local soccer fans on the Monsoon website.

↵

The Monsoon is the operating name of the indoor (and potentially outdoor) soccer franchise Starky and his group has in the works. He says efforts are under way to put PASL Pro League teams in Tucson and Las Vegas.

↵

Starky says decisions on where the Monsoon will play will come within weeks if not days. He also said tickets will cost from $7 to $20.

↵

Outdoor soccer seems to be the bigger goal for the Monsoon. The letter discusses the NASL, a second-division pro league (North American Soccer League) that is a step below Major League Soccer.

↵

Starky also discusses the Monsoon’s ongoing discussions with Pachuca, a top-level club in Mexico.

↵

If nothing else, the letter offers one hope for a future of pro soccer in this state, be it in Phoenix, Tucson or both.
