The field is down to four in Tucson after the quarterfinals wrapped up this morning. Martin Kaymer, Bubba Watson, Matt Kuchar and Luke Donald all advanced to the semifinals.
Should Kaymer defeat Watson this afternoon, he would claim the world #1 ranking, something that he has never done before. It's a huge milestone in a golfer's career. After Tiger Woods held the ranking for what seems like an eternity, the #1 ranking has been passed around a little more frequently in the recent months, currently belonging to Lee Westwood.
Kaymer is only 26 years old, and through four holes is all square with Watson in the semifinals. Through nine holes in the other semifinal, Donald has a huge 6 hole lead over Kuchar.
The finals will be held tomorrow. Waggle Room was discussing how impressive the distance was from some of the golfers this weekend, including Bubba Watson.
