NFL Picks, Week 14: New England Patriots Face Shockingly Small Spread

NFL Week 14 is here and we are too with our weekly picks against the spread. We had a fantastic showing last week, going 13-3. We picked the Colts to beat the spread, we picked the Saints plus the points, and we picked Tim Tebow. We struck out on the Packers covering, the Falcons winning and the Cardinals. We are now 101-84 ATS this season. You can still pick against us in our weekly contest which you can join here (ID: 55411, PW: arizona).

Here's our first five picks for Week 14 and now we'll share another five. We'll have the rest of the picks posted as the week goes on.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Jacksonville Jaguars (+1): The line tells it all. This one is a toss up. The Jaguars are one of the worst offenses in the NFL while the Bucs have a horrible defense. What happens when those two things collide is an age old question in sports (Bad offense vs. Bad defense). When in doubt, go home. Pick: Jaguars

Philadelphia Eagles at Miami Dolphins (-3): Look how far the NFL's Dream Team has fallen. They are underdogs to the Dolphins who started the season as a favorite in the "Suck for Luck" sweepstakes. Matt Moore is getting 'er done while the Eagles have fallen (apart). But you can't keep talent and pride down forever which is why we're predicting a bounce back week for Philly. Pick: Eagles

Kansas City Chiefs at New York Jets (-9): The Jets, for all their faults, are still 7-5 and the Chiefs, for all their snappiness, still have Tyler Palko taking snaps. Pick: Jets

New Orleans Saints at Tennessee Titans (+4): The Saints are marching and will marching right into Tennessee and march all over the Titans. March on. Pick: Saints

New England Patriots at Washington Redskins (+9): Why is this spread so low when the Ravens and Steelers are double-digit favorites over bad teams? Is Vegas anticipating a let down? Are they reacting to the Patriots failure to cover the spread against the Colts last week? Not sure why but we're not gonna be suckered into their negativism. Pick: Patriots
