2011 Fiesta Bowl: Oklahoma State Cowboys Vs. Stanford Cardinal

The Fiesta Bowl has been mired in scandal lately, but tonight they scored perhaps the second biggest game of the postseason. Instead of a national championship, they'll get what amounts to a third place game between the Oklahoma St. Cowboys and the Stanford Cardinal.

Oklahoma State finished third in the BCS rankings and just fell short of a bid in the BCS National Championship game. As the Big 12 champion, they earn the automatic bid to the Fiesta Bowl. With their second pick, Andrew Luck and the Stanford Cardinal got the nod. Considering the two teams finished third and fourth in the BCS rankings, the winner figures to be a strong contender to be second or third in the final BCS rankings.

Oklahoma State possesses a great spread pass-oriented offense that could give Stanford a lot of trouble. Stanford has a balanced power attack with an excellent pro-style quarterback. We could have a shootout on our hands in Tempe.
