Not a creature was stirring, not even a Lion or (Bengal) Tiger, but there are NFL football games and really, what else matters? NFL Week 16 is holiday week for football fans and Santa is bringing a full slate of games to the TV schedule on Saturday and one bonus treat on Christmas Sunday.
↵New York Giants at the New York Jets kick things off along with nine other games starting at 1:00 p.m. ET / 11:00 a.m. AZT. This Rumble in Rutherford is on Fox although those of us here in Arizona won't be watching. The Arizona Cardinals are at the Cincinnati Bengals also starting at 1:00 p.m. ET / 11:00 a.m. AZT on Fox.
↵The afternoon match up to watch will be the Philadelphia Eagles at the Dallas Cowboys for those into the NFC East. In the NFC West, the San Francisco 49ers are at the Seattle Seahawks, also at 4:15 p.m. ET / 2:00 p.m. AZT and also on Fox.
↵The CBS morning games are either the Oakland Raiders at the Kansas Chiefs or the Miami Dolphins at the New England Patriots for the early game. In Arizona, we only get the afternoon game, the San Diego Chargers at the Detroit Lions in a game that impacts the Cardinals playoff chances should they win in Cincinnati.
↵On Christmas Day (Sunday) at 8:20 p.m. ET / 6:20 p.m. AZT you can put down the ham and turn on NBC to see the poor Chicago Bears at the Green Bay Packers. The Bears, unfortunately, are beat up pretty bad or this would have been a really great game. As it stands, it will be good to keep on as background noise if you should choose family over football.
↵Merry Christmas, everyone!
