2012 Fiesta Bowl: Christian Littlehead Suspended From Fiesta Bowl, Chris Owusu Unlikely To Play

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are preparing for their Fiesta Bowl appearance against the Stanford Cardinal, but word came down on Monday that they'll have to enter the game without defensive lineman Christian Littlehead.

Littlehead had been charged with drug possession in the past week along with another OSU teammate, Jonathan Rush. Rush was already out for the season with an injury, but on Monday Gina Mizell of the Oklahoman reported that Littlehead will be suspended for the Fiesta Bowl. This is a big blow to the Cowboys defense, who will need to contain a potent Stanford offense.

Stanford will also not be at full strength. Wide receiver Chris Owusu has been plagued by concussions in the 2011 season and according to an Associated Press article, head coach David Shaw said that Owusu is unlikely to play in the bowl game.
