The Arizona Wildcats were certainly hoping that they would fare better against the Utah Utes. Although they have closed the gap a bit, they still trail 27-14 in the fourth quarter.
Nick Foles brought Arizona back within 13 points as he completed a 42 yard touchdown pass to David Douglas midway through the third quarter. Both Arizona touchdowns in the game have come on Foles passes to Douglas. Foles has passed for 238 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Douglas has eight catches for 145 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Arizona has played a sloppy game, and nowhere is this more obvious than when looking at penalty yardage. Although the Utes have only been charged with one 15 yard penalty, the Wildcats have had nine penalties so far, for a whopping 81 yards. They also have the only two turnovers in the game, on Foles's interception and a fumble.
