NFL Draft Guide To The College Football Schedule

This is a weird week of college football with the games spread out from Thursday to Saturday. We are going to take a look back at the biggest game of the weekend, Arkansas-LSU and look ahead to Georgia-Georgia Tech and Penn State-Wisconsin.

Arkansas-LSU

Even though LSU ended up blowing out Arkansas, this was a fascinating game to take in.  The Tigers secondary going up against Razorbacks threats on the outside was one of the most interesting match ups of the entire College Football season. The two most highly regarded players from the LSU secondary are cornerback Morris Claiborne (junior) and safety/cornerback Tyrann Mathieu (sophomore).

On the Razorbacks side we got to watch wide receivers Joe Adams, Jarius Wright, Greg Childs, and Cobi Hamilton. All four are highly regarded NFL prospects.

Georgia-Georgia Tech

I picked this game for one player and one player only:  Georgia outside linebacker Jarvis Jones. He is a redshirt sophomore who transferred from USC.  He burst onto the national scene with a four sack game against Florida.  With how important it is for individual players to win one on one battles and get to the quarterback he will be a sought after commodity if he decides to leave school.

Penn State-Wisconsin

The angle for this game isn't as exciting as watching the LSU secondary go up against the Arkansas wide receivers, but football games are won in the trenches and Wisconsin's offensive line verse the Penn State defensive line is a big time battle.

The players to watch along the Wisconsin offensive line are guard Kevin Zeitler and center Peter Konz.  With the Penn State defensive line keep your eye on defensive tackle Devon Still, defensive tackle Jordan Hill, and defensive end Jack Crawford.
