Arizona's Nick Foles Plans To End His Career On Field Despite Rib Contusion

Nick Foles suffered a rib contusion on Saturday against Arizona State. But he doesn't want to finish his career on someone else's terms.

According to the Arizona Daily Star, Arizona Wildcats quarterback Nick Foles is expected to return to face Louisiana-Lafayette in Saturday's season finale after suffering a rib contusion in Arizona's 31-27 win over rival Arizona State.

The Daily Star reported that interim coach Tim Kish said that Foles underwent tests today that came back negative. Foles plans to play, though he is still sore.

It makes sense for Foles to want to play in this game so badly. It would mark the completion of his Wildcats career. He already sits as Arizona's all-time leader in passing attempts, completions and touchdowns.

Even with Arizona struggling with a 3-8 record, Foles has been solid with 3,982 passing yards, 25 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. His zero interceptions against Arizona State was the first game since the fourth game of the season that he didn't throw an interception.

If Foles can't go, senior backup Bryson Beirne will start.
