NFC West Goes Necessary 2-2 In Week 11, 49ers Could Clinch This Week

After Week 10, the NFC West went 4-0. That was going to be impossible this week, as each team was playing another from within the division. The division had to be .500. The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks were the division victors, as they handily took care of their opponents. The 49ers physically dominated the Arizona Cardinals 23-7 in a game that easily could have been 21 points worse. The Seattle Seahawks also systematically took apart Sam Bradford and the St. Louis Rams 24-7. Marshawn Lynch scored another touchdown and Seattle's defense limited Steven Jackson to 42 yards on 15 carries.

With the win, San Francisco improved to 9-1, winning their eighth straight. If they win on Thursday against the Baltimore Ravens and the Seahawks lose to the Redskins on Sunday, San Fran will have wrapped up the NFC West crown.

Rams fans, meet Sam Sadford, er, Bradford.

The San Francisco 49ers wrapped up a 23-7 victory over the Arizona Cardinals Sunday afternoon to improve to 9-1 on the season. The 49ers will not extend their division lead overall as the Seahawks won, but the 49ers moved a step closer to locking up the NFC West. It was not a pretty game, but the defense dominated for the most part and the offense blew up just when it was most needed.

The two-game winning streak and the Cardinals QB controversy have something in common: They're both over.
