Both fighters in the main event tomorrow night at UFC 139 made weight, and one had a few pounds to spare. Dan Henderson, the former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion, weighed in at 203 pounds, two pounds below the light heavyweight limit. Former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua weighed in at the limit of 205.
Both fighters in the co-main event made weight as Wanderlei Silva and Cung Le both weighed in at the middleweight limit of 185 pounds. Urijah Faber and Brian Bowles both weighed in one pound above the bantamweight limit, 136. Fighters are allowed to be one pound over the weight limit.
Two fighters on the evening's preliminary card did not make weight . Lightweight Shamar Bailey weighed in at 158 pounds, three pounds over the lightweight limit. Bantamweight Nick Pace weighed it an astounding 141 pounds. A full six pounds over the limit of 135. Both Pace and Bailey will be fined 20% of their purse as a result of not making weight.
