NFL Picks Against The Spread: Tim Tebow Time Over Rex Ryan's Mouth

Week 11 of the NFL season is here and we are back with our expert picks against the spread. Where does the time go? It seems like just yesterday we were lamenting the lack of quality teams and the inability of defenses to stop the high-powered passing attacks in the league. Look how far we've come since then!

We didn't have our best week last week with our picks but did manage to eek out an 8-8 record against the spread which puts us at 74-66 ATS on the season. Where are you?  You can still pick against us in our weekly contest which you can join here (ID: 55411, PW: arizona)

We'll start our Week 11 picks against the spread with Thursday's game between the Jets and Broncos because between Rex Ryan cursing and Tim Tebow praying we might just see something special happen.

New York Jets at Denver Broncos (+5): There's an old (not so old) saying, "Don't bet against Tim Tebow, he's a winner". And while he technically did win three of four games, the Broncos defense helped and so did the quality of their opponents (Mia, Oak, KC). The Jets are either in a free fall or on the edge of bouncing back and going on a big run. With that team it's next to impossible to know which.

We do know that to beat the Broncos you need to stop the run (they ran 55 times last week compared to just 8 passes). We also know that the Jets struggle to stop the run, especially on the road. The Broncos did give up 45 points to the Lions the last time they were home which is troublesome and the Jets are angry and desperate (shocking, huh) which makes this anything but a slam dunk. We'll give the edge to the home team and pray for another Tebow miracle but we're not feeling great about it. Pick: Broncos

We'll be back with the rest of our picks for NFL Week 11 on Thursday and Friday.
