What a week in college football. The disgusting scandal at Penn State (rightly) overshadowed what was a great weekend with the epic duel between LSU and Alabama. This Saturday's TV schedule will carry a dark cloud but at the same time many fans are ready to just kick back and watch college football.
↵The victims of the Penn State Predators (using plural to include those who knew and didn't do enough) are obviously the highest concern. But there's literally nothing most of us can do about them other than send out our thoughts and prayers and express our outrage at what when on in Happy Valley.
↵The game goes on and we give you a look at some of the best ones on the TV schedule for this college football Saturday.
↵Oklahoma State Cowboys (2) at Texas Tech Red Raiders at 12:00 p.m. ET / 9:00 a.m. MT on ABC. The Cowboys likely won't be tested against a 5-4 Red Raiders team but you never know. Oklahoma State has one of the top offenses in the country putting up 50 points a game which is the big reason they are a 20-point road favorite. This might seem like a blowout but it should be an exciting one.
↵Nebraska Corn Huskers (19) at Penn Sate Nittnay Lions (12) at 12:00 p.m. ET / 9:00 a.m. MT on ESPN. There's a lot of people that won't want anything to do with this game but at the same time, it will be hard to look away. Surprisingly, the line hasn't moved that much despite all that's gone on this week. The Nittany Lions opened +2 and only fell to +3.5.
↵Oregon Ducks (6) at Stanford Cardinal (3) at 8:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. MT on ABC. Last week's epic clash between number one LSU and number Alabama was a defensive slug fest. Expect a lot more action in this Saturday's clash of highly ranked college football titans. The winner of this game will likely win the Pac-12 North and if the Cardinal can win and remain undefeated they could be contention for a BCS Championship bid. Stanford is favored -3.5.
↵Locally, the Arizona Wildcats have a very winnable game in Colorado at 12:30 p.m. MT while the Arizona State Sun Devils seek to bounce back against Washington State at 8:30 p.m. MT. Elsewhere in the Pac-12, keep an eye on UCLA at Utah 4:30 p.m. MT and Washington at USC (18) at 1:$5 p.m. MT.
