Arizona Vs. Oregon State 37-27: Wildcats Unable To Capitalize

In the end, Arizona's big third quarter wasn't able to overcome the Wildcat miscues as the team fell to 1-5 on the season and 0-4 in conference play.

The Beavers seemed to make the most out of all of their opportunities as the Wildcats squandered theirs. Arizona missed a field goal in the first quarter and were unable to convert on a crucial fourth-and-short situation late in the game.

With the Wildcats trailing by only three points with under six minutes to go in the fourth quarter, Arizona was unable to stop Oregon on a similar fourth-and-short situation, which resulted in the Beavers' final score to give them what would prove to be an insurmountable 10-point lead.

Turnovers also hurt the Wildcats. Nick Foles threw two interceptions while Arizona offense turned over the ball twice on three fumbles. Oregon similarly had three fumbles, but recovered the ball each time.

Arizona has now lost eight straight conference games. While the Beavers snapped a six-game losing streak dating to last season for their first win of the year, the Wildcats are left wondering what they can do to get a victory under their belts.
