NFL Expert Picks: Steelers Defense Good Enough To Slow Patriots

The NFL Week 8 schedule saved it's best game for the afternoon. We are going to provide our expert pick against the spread for the Patriots vs. Steelers along with the rest of the games on the football slate. Here's our picks for the morning games. You can pick against us in our weekly contest which you can join here (ID: 55411, PW: arizona).

Washington Redskins at Buffalo Bills (-6): The Redskins are in a bit of a free fall since Rex Grossman fell back to Earth. The Bills defense hasn't been good but at home they should still be able to slow down the Redskins offense that lost Tim Hightower for the season and is starting John Beck at QB. Pick: Bills

Detroit Lions at Denver Broncos (+3): The Lions are slowing after a great start to the season. They have injuries at running back and Matt Stafford is questionable. On the other side, Tim Tebow will be making his home debut for the season but will be facing a formidable front seven. Based on injuries, we can't go with the Lions: Pick: Tebow

New England Patriots at Pittsburgh Steelers (+3): The best game of the week features Tom Brady against a highly-ranked Steelers pass defense. The Pats still haven't found a way to stop teams through the air or generate rush pressure. Ben Roethlisberger is looking good and at home they should have the edge. Pick: Steelers

Cleveland Browns at San Francisco 49ers (-9): The 49ers have played their way into respectability. We're still waiting for their schedule to get harder, but in the mean time their defense should have no problems with the Browns: Pick: 49ers

Cincinnati Bengals at Seattle Seahawks (+1): Don't watch this game. Don't bet on this game. Only pick this game if you absolutely have to. Pick: Seahawks

Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles (-3.5): This is the second-best game of the week and is featured on Sunday Night Football on NBC. The Eagles may have turned their season around with a win last week in Washington but then again, maybe the Redskins just fell apart. We think so. Pick: Cowboys

San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs (+4): The Chiefs put together a good win in Oakland and the Chargers are coming off a loss. Still, the Chargers are a much better team and should bounce back easily. Pick: Chargers
