It's a pretty well established fact around here (and certainly in my living room) that Vince Carter is not my favorite player. In fact, he's pretty much right up there with my least favorite players. Maybe I am not being fair on the guy. He's certainly nice enough in person and seems to mean well. He definitely says all the right things including how he was looking forward to learning the Secret of NBA Longevity from gurus Steve Nash and Grant Hill.
↵But when asked about Grasshopper Carter's adherence to The Way, Grant Hill said this during a recent radio interview (via Sports Radio Interviews):
↵↵↵"I think it takes some time to see the results but he is working with Aaron (trainer Aaron Nelson) doing his exercises, I think he needs to improve his diet a little bit, that is just my own personal opinion.
↵He eats one too many cookies on that plane but he is making an attempt to try to do what he needs to do to be taking care of his body...so hopefully he will continue to work hard. We have got to make some improvements on his diet."
↵
You know Vince, when Grant Hill is calling you out on the public airwaves for eating too many cookies on the plane, you might want to give up on the cookies.
↵Now personally, I could stand to take that advice as well.
↵My big belly is proof of my own love of all things cookie related. But then again, I've yet to find a case where my writing skills or even typing speed has been diminished by my cookie eating habits. And yet if there were a master writer out there who demonstrated both an increase in performance along with career extending properties of a better diet, I think I would give up the cookies.
