After beating the the Silver Stars in San Antonio just a few days ago the two teams connect again tonight.
The Mercury will be wearing their home Pink's as part of the league's breast cancer awareness program. The uniforms I could take or leave but those shoes are pretty cool.
The Mercury (13-13) are finally back at .500 while the Silver Stars (10-16) are fighting with the Lynx and Sparks to make sure they even make they have a seat on the playoff bus when the music stops playing.
Pregame Notes:
- Diana Taurasi had back-to-back 20-point, 10-assist games in her last two outings and is averaging a career-high 4.7 assists per game. As if we needed numbers to prove that she's running the show.
- With one rebound, Diana will become the third player in WNBA history to record 4,500 points, 1,000 rebounds and 900 assists. The other two are Sheryl Swoopes and Katie Smith.
- In their last seven games the Mercury averaged 56.3 points in the paint, an increase of more than 17 points from their first 19 games.
- The game-worn pink jersey's from tonight's Breast Health Awareness week will be auctioned off after the game.
