D-backs Down Padres, 6-2

Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) – Mark Reynolds drove in five runs to aid Arizona starter Joe Saunders, as the Diamondbacks extended San Diego’s woes with a 7-2 win in the opener of a three-game series at Chase Field.

Reynolds belted a pair of two-run homers to go along with an RBI single, while Saunders (2-4) allowed 10 hits over eight innings. His lone mistake came in the first, when David Eckstein reached on an infield single to begin the game and Miguel Tejada followed with his third home run as a Padre.

The left-hander had dropped his last four outings, which included a pair of setbacks to San Diego.

Wade LeBlanc (8-12) gave up six runs and six hits in just three innings for the National League West-leading Padres, who were dealt a fifth consecutive loss.
