Paul Coro of AZCentral.com reports that the Phoenix Suns will return to San Diego for their fall training camp for the second year in a row.

The Suns left Arizona for training camp for the first time last year when practice sessions were held at University of San Diego's Jenny Craig Pavilion, named for a Suns part owner. This year's five-day training camp, starting Sept. 28, is set for the University of California-San Diego in La Jolla because of conflicting event dates at USD.

The Suns had planned to return to University of Arizona for training camp, but last season's success prompted them to stick with the idea of a getaway camp.

The Suns trained in Tucson in 2005, 2007 and 2008 and went to Italy in 2006 for NBA Europe Live. From 1986 to 2004, the Suns held 16 of 19 camps at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff with 1997, 1998 and 2003 camps in Phoenix.

One player who will not make it to the camp is Taylor Griffin, who was waived by the team on Monday.
