Former Wildcat, Olympic Gold Medalist, Ex-Celebrity Apprentice Jennie Finch has announced she will retire from softball. From the AP:
↵↵↵The dominating pitcher announced Tuesday that she will play her final games with the U.S. national team this week at the World Cup of Softball in Oklahoma City.
↵
The first (and probably only) softball player to make the move from fringe sport icon to pop culture figure, she paved the way with her photographic face and figure pitching. Jennie will finish out the National Pro Fastpitch season (yes, there is such a thing) with the Chicago Bandits before heading back here to Arizona to spend more time with her family.
