Diamondbacks Look For Answers In San Diego

At this point, what can be said about the D-backs? Both the GM and the manager have been replaced, one of the team's veterans was traded, and it's possible that there is more trading activity to come.

Despite these improvements, we're still looking at a terrible baseball team, one with little hope for the future. We strike out at an unbelievable pace, and our bullpen's ERA is laughable. Our closer's ERA is 8.60. Honestly, how does Chad Qualls still have a job?

After a nice break from baseball, our hometown team went to San Diego last night and got blasted by the Padres 12-1. Our ace gave up six earned runs, and our bullpen did the same - but in only three innings!

Something needs to change in this team's dynamic, because it's clearly not working. Do you have to make a big trade? I think so. Who can be moved? Kelly Johnson, Adam LaRoche, and Stephen Drew, for starters. Give up Dan Haren if you have to.

Anything to give this team a chance at being remotely better in 2011. The fans won't come out if the product is substandard, as they have proven to be the case this season.

I personally hope that Justin Upton and Mark Reynolds can be rejuvenated. They were captivating in the summer of 2009, impressing fans across the country on a daily basis. If they bring that back, the swagger will return to downtown Phoenix.

We just need to take care of the remaining 72 games on the 2010 schedule first.
