The good news is Kennedy pitched well and the D-backs bullpen (Juan Gutiérrez) didn't give up any runs. Unfortunately, the Snakes couldn't muster enough run support against their old teammate, Max Scherzer.
After exchanging words through the media, we were hoping for a little "action" when Montero faced Valverde in the 9th, but Jose decided not to bean Miguel and the inning ended with a whimper. Boy, it must be nice to have guys like Zumaya and Valverde to close out games. Too bad the Diamondbacks couldn't get a closer like that.
