Phoenix Coyotes Recall Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Send Kyle Turris to IR

The Phoenix Coyotes made a pair of changes to their roster on Tuesday, recalling defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson from San Antonio and sending forward Kyle Turris to the injured reserve list.

Ekman-Larsson opened the season with the Coyotes, playing in 14 games before being sent to San Antonio, the Coyotes' AHL affiliate.  The 19-year-old defenseman wasn't too effective, recording just three points before being sent down.

While it's no guarantee that Ekman-Larsson will see the ice, he could force someone like Sami Lepisto to the list of healthy scratches for Tuesday's contest with Edmonton.

Turris, 21, is headed to the IR with an upper-body injury, which he sustained on Friday against Edmonton, making this trip retroactive to the 19th.  He is considered week to week.
