PGA Tour Suspends Pro-Am DQ Regulation for Remainder of 2010

As part of the brushback from the Jim Furyk DQ last Wednesday at The Barclays, the PGA Tour has opted to suspend its rule leading to a disqualification for a missed tee time in a pro-am. This rule will be suspended for the rest of the 2010 season, with a review to follow.

The PGA Tour has announced that Jim Furyk - currently sitting in third position in the FedExCup standings - has been disqualified from this week's first round of the Playoffs at The Barclays for missing his 7:30 pro-am tee time by five minutes. The disqualification is the set penalty for tardiness for these pro-am outings.
