Aaron Brooks Rumors: Houston Rockets Interested In Free Agent PG

The Phoenix Suns were looking to lock up point guard Eric Gordon for the future until the New Orleans Hornets matched their offer for the restricted free agent, Now the Houston Rockets are looking into nabbing another PG from Phoenix as they are reportedly interested in Suns guard Aaron Brooks.

Per Hoops World's Alex Kennedy:

After trading Kyle Lowry, the Houston Rockets are searching for a starting point guard. While they have offered restricted free agent Jeremy Lin a four-year, $30 million offer sheet, Houston is also considering several other options. The Rockets will meet with restricted free agent Aaron Brooks this weekend, according to sources close to the situation. After signing Goran Dragic and drafting Kendall Marshall, it's unlikely the Phoenix Suns will match a large offer sheet for Brooks.

Brooks played for the Guangdong Southern Tigers of the Chinese Basketball Association during the 2011-12 season, though remained a restricted free agent with Phoenix. But with the return of Dragic and draftee Kendall Marshall Brooks' spot on the team has become less necessary.

Brooks played his first four seasons in the league with Houston before being traded to the Suns.
