Phoenix Suns Reportedly To Trade Robin Lopez, Hakim Warrick To New Orleans

Stay connected for news and updates

After it looked like the Phoenix Suns were going to have a quiet rest of an offseason, they have made some noise, as they are rumored to have a trade in the works that would move restricted free agent center Robin Lopez and forward Hakim Warrick in exchange for a first round pick, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Wojnarowski tweeted some of the details:

Warrick became expendable with the acquisition of Michael Beasley, as the team had a glut of power forwards. Lopez shows flashes of being a promising player in 2010, but became inconsistent after coming back from a back injury.

Johnson was the fourth pick in the 2010 draft and is a 6-7, athletic wing player. He has been disappointing thus far in his career, but gives the team even more athleticism and youth, which have been the team's two main goals this offseason -- get younger and more athletic.
