With Steve Nash likely headed elsewhere this offseason, the Suns have turned their attention to finding their next star of the future. Could it be perhaps the best young shooting guard in the league by the name of Eric Gordon? Chris Broussard of ESPN files this report about how far the Suns could go to get him in the Valley of the Suns.

Nets have expressed interest in Eric Gordon, particularly as a replacement star if Deron Williams goes to Dallas, sources said.

Gordon would seem a natural fit for what could be a turn towards a youth movement in Phoenix. With Kendall Marshall slated to become the next point guard of the Suns, Phoenix could end up really going young in the backcourt and have a rising star in Gordon all locked up. Things are looking real good regarding this deal.
