The New Orleans Hornets have matched the Phoenix Suns' $58 million, four-year offer to Eric Gordon, according to a report from ESPN's Marc Stein. The Suns made the offer on Wednesday, and as expected the Hornets made them wait the full three days before matching the offer. As detailed here at SB Nation Arizona, New Orleans is committed to keeping the disgruntled guard. With Gordon apparently not an option, Stein reports that the team already has other options in mind:
Though this was the expected result, any time a team misses out on a quality player is bound to be a disappointment for fans.
