NBA Free Agency Rumors: Steve Nash Offered Big Contract By Toronto Raptors

There is little doubt that Steve Nash will be one of the hottest free agent commodities around the league in the coming weeks. Not only do the Suns want to retain their veteran point guard, but as many as four or five clubs are expected to put in a serious offer to land Nash for the next few seasons.

Nash, 38, is still an elite offensive point guard, and there is very little doubt that he wants to win a championship before hanging up his jersey for good. He has also stated that money will play some role in his decision, so don't expect him to take a discount.

The Toronto Raptors, who play in Nash's home country of Canada, reportedly made him a very enticing deal on Sunday.

The Raptors don't exactly appear like a team ready to compete for a title, but Nash may enjoy his final few seasons playing in his home country. And when they're offering $36 million over the next three seasons, it's tough to just brush the offer away.
