Phoenix Suns Player Power Rankings, Week 9: Marcin Gortat At The Top

The All-Star Game and break led to less games for the Phoenix, but the best players of the week are still no surprise. Now after the (hopefully) restful break, the Suns can get hot. As of the end of the week, here are this week's Suns player power rankings, of course with their previous week's ranking in parenthesis.

1. Marcin Gortat (2): The Polish Hammer was impressive in the Suns' only two games last week. Gortat had 21 points and 15 rebounds against the Warriors and 20 points and seven rebounds against Washington. Gortat shot an impressive 18-27 from the field last week and averaged over 37 minutes played. (Ryan Bafaloukos)

2. Steve Nash (1): Nash actually did not have the greatest game against Golden State. Seven point, nine assists, but five turnovers. The other game against the Wizards was great. He even had seven rebounds. (Jess Root)

3. Channing Frye (3): The All-Star Break must've provided Frye with some extra motivation last week because he really turned it on right before the break. Over two games, he averaged a very solid 20.5 points and 10.0 rebounds. The Suns will need Frye to continue rebounding at that rate if they want to make a push in the second half of the season. (Nikil Selvam)

4. Jared Dudley (6): Dudley's kept his scoring up, averaging 12.5 points a game on over 50% shooting. The Suns need at least a couple of consistent scoring threats and Jared's kept up his end of the bargain recently. (Justin Burning)

5. Grant Hill (5): Hill was consistent last week for Phoenix. Hill scored 16 points against Golden State and 11 against Washington. He had six assists against the Warriors, five rebounds against Washington and averaged 30 minutes per game last week. (RB)

6. Michael Redd (4): Redd had an up game against the Wizards, scoring 14. He was scoreless, however, against the Warriors in 16 minutes and only took two shots. (JR)

7. Markieff Morris (7): Morris had the opportunity to challenge for more minutes last week but wasn't able to capitalize. He saw 25 minutes of action against the Wizards (most of any bench player that game, almost equal to Dudley's 26) in addition to the 10 minutes against the Warriors, but Morris connected on only three field goals and collected only nine boards total during that stretch. (NS)

8. Shannon Brown (10): It's probably safe to say that the Shannon Brown signing has been a disappointment thus far. Based on his time with the Lakers, it was safe to say Brown was a streaky player, but the Suns haven't even really seen any of those torrid streaks of his either. But hey, he's getting playing time again. For now. (JB)

9. Sebastian Telfair (9): Telfair saw an increase in playing time last week and made the most of it. Telfair scored eight points against Washington and five against Golden State. Telfair took good shots all week, as he shot 8-12 from the field and went 1-1 from 3-PT. (RB)

10. Robin Lopez (8): What can you say? He played a total of 12 minutes, and only five in a blowout win. You can tell the organization is not thrilled with his play. (JR)

11. Ronnie Price (11): Price did not see any game action this week. (NS)

12. Josh Childress (12): Childress was ridin' the pine all week. (JB)

13. Hakim Warrick (13): Warrick did not see any game action this week. (RB)
