Fans are funny people. You know who I am talking about. Look in the mirror and ask yourself how many dumb ideas you floated in the comments of a story or on Twitter. In the latest example of fan silliness, a group of desperate Orlando Magic supporters have started a Facebook campaign to bring Denver Nuggets soon-to-be-free agent J.R. Smith to Florida.↵
Folks, I realize your team has gone colder than Stan Van Gundy's heart from the three-point line in your playoff series against the Atlanta Hawks. I get that the J.R. Smith talent is alluring and his tattoos scream like a Siren's song to fan yearning for a wing player who can shoot, drive, pass and score.
The problem here, of course, is that JR Smith is a notorious knucklehead. He's about as streaky as them come without being diagnosed bi-polar and his reputation as a teammates sucks. There's a reason this guy is averaging 25 minutes per game and not 40 and it has nothing to do with his abilities.↵
Fortunately, as of the time of publishing this story, the Facebook page only has 37 "Likes". Let's just hope we don't see a similar call from Suns' fans once NBA free agency starts.↵
Do you really want this guy on your team?↵
