As the Phoenix Coyotes look to hang on to captain Shane Doan, a number of other National Hockey League teams are attempting to steal him from them.
Before there were just three teams that had offered Doan a contract, but according to Sports 620 AM KTAR sports radio talk show host John Gambadoro, the Vancouver Canucks have become the fourth team to offer him a contract, joining the likes of the Coyotes, Los Angeles Kings and San Jose Sharks as the other clubs vying for his services.
Per Sports 620 KTAR Sports Radio Talk Show host John Gambadoro on Twitter:
The third team to offer Coyotes Captain Shane Doan a contract following LA and San Jose is the Vancouver Canucks!

Exclamation point indeed!
Doan played in 79 games for the Coyotes last season, the only team he has ever played for as a professional. He scored 22 goals along with 28 assists for a total of 50 points for Phoenix last year. He certainly would be a hard player to replace for the Coyotes, but unfortunately business is business. Hopefully he decides to stay put in the desert.
