Doan's Camera Killer Puts Coyotes Up By Two

Stay connected for news and updates

Shane Doan is obviously not ready for the offseason.

The Coyote captain is leading by example and has his team up 2-0 with only one period remaining in Game 4.

Doan scored on the power play in the first, and put in his second goal at 11:10 of the second. He now has five in the playoffs.

The goal was not originally called one by the refs. Doan's shot took a quick bounce off a mounted camera in the net, giving the linesman the impression that it hit the post. After further review the refs reversed the call though, and the Coyotes took a 2-0.

Not enough can be said about Doan's play. He is consistently winning puck battles, throwing his body around, and most importantly, scoring.

After that goal it became obvious that the Coyotes are in control of Game 4. They now have the Kings chasing the game, something no one has been able to do this postseason.

Smith is also doing his part in net to keep the Coyotes season alive and is on the verge of his third shutout of the season. Smith has stopped all 23 shots so far, and with the exception of a slight miscue playing the puck that almost led to an L.A. goal, he has been flawless.
