Coyotes Recall Chris Summers From San Antonio

An addition to the preview for tonight's Coyotes game at Jobing.com Arena, there is some transaction news coming out of the Phoenix front office.

Phoenix has recalled defenseman Chris Summers from their AHL affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage. Drafted out of Michigan in 2006, Summers has registered eight points in 44 games for the Rampage.

With David Schlemko going down with a head injury on Monday, the Coyotes needed some insurance on the blueline, in the event that Ed Jovanovski or Michal Rozsival are not ready to go. Both were on the ice during Tuesday's morning skate.

The Coyotes host Nashville at 7 P.M. local time in Phoenix.
