Two Jay Feely field goals kept the Cardinals within striking distance of the 49ers in the first half.

Through one half of football at Candlestick Park, the Arizona Cardinals trail the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 7-6.

The Cardinals jumped out to a 6-0 advantage thanks to two field goals by kicker Jay Feely, from 35 and 31 yards respectively. But the 49ers struck back with a 49 yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Michael Crabtree that gave San Francisco a 7-6 halftime lead.

Quarterback Brian Hoyer is 8-of-18 for 103 yards. Rookie wide receiver Michael Floyd leads the team with three receptions for 56 yards, while star receiver Larry Fitzgerald has just two receptions for 13 yards.

The 49ers have outgained the Cardinals in total offense, 232 yards to 156 yards. Arizona had an almost identical number of first downs, however. The Cardinals find themselves trailing by just one point thanks to two missed field goals by San Francisco kicker David Akers. They're looking to play the role of spoilers against the 49ers, as an upset win would complicate San Francisco's chances at the number two seed in the NFC.

Brian Hoyer replaced Ryan Lindley at quarterback following a pick-six that made the score 28-6 in favor of the Bears.

After three quarters of play, the Arizona Cardinals trail the Chicago Bears by a score of 28-6.

The Bears picked up where they left off early in the second half, as cornerback Charles Tillman intercepted quarterback Ryan Lindley deep in Arizona territory and returned the pass 10 yards for a score. It was the second touchdown of the game for Chicago's defense and Tillman's third touchdown on the season.

Arizona later replaced Lindley with Brian Hoyer, who was 3-of-6 for 51 yards in two possessions. The Cardinals as a team have 209 yards of total offense, but just 32 rushing yards.

Chicago's passing attack hasn't been much better, as quarterback Jay Cutler is 11-of-24 for 141 yards and a touchdown. Star wide receiver Brandon Marshall has five receptions for 63 yards and a score. Running back Matt Forte left the game in the third quarter with an ankle injury and will not return. He had 88 yards at the time.

A two minute drill to end the half has the Chicago Bears up 21-6 over the Arizona Cardinals.

Through two quarters of play, the Arizona Cardinals trail the Chicago Bears by a score of 21-6.

The Bears put up the first offensive touchdown of the game early in the second quarter on a four yard run by Matt Forte. That score was set up by a 30 yard reception from wide receiver Brandon Marshall.

The Cardinals were able to cut the deficit to a one-possession game thanks to a 35 yard field goal by Jay Feely that resulted from a Chicago fumble on a punt return.

But Chicago struck back again on a two minute drill to end the half, as quarterback Jay Cutler hit Brandon Marshall for an 11 yard touchdown to make it 21-6.

Cutler finished the half 6-of-16 for 106 yards and a touchdown. Arizona quarterback Ryan Lindley was 17-of-28 for 141 yards. Forte has 85 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, while the Cardinals have just 17 rushing yards.

The Cardinals have actually dominated the time of possession so far, accounting for 20 minutes compared to 10 for the Bears.

A fumble by Beanie Wells in Arizona's own endzone has the Cardinals trailing 7-3 after the first quarter.

After the first quarter of play at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, the Arizona Cardinals trail the Chicago Bears by a score of 7-3.

The Bears scored their lone touchdown of the quarter after a fumble by running back Beanie Wells deep in Arizona territory. Cornerback Zach Bowman scooped up the loose ball and returned it for a score.

The Cardinals recovered later in the quarter with a 49 yard field goal to make it 7-3.

Arizona has so far held Chicago's offense at bay, as Jay Cutler has yet to complete a pass in the game. Cardinals quarterback Ryan Lindley, meanwhile, is 8-of-11 for 73 yards. Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has also gotten into the action with three catches for 43 yards.

Arizona has the chance to play spoiler with a win over the Bears, which would make it even more difficult for Chicago to sneak into the postseason as a Wild Card team.

Behind the bats of Mike Zunino, Rymer Liriano and Nate Roberts, the Peoria Javelinas were able to win the Arizona Fall League Championship on Saturday.

The Peoria Javelinas won the Arizona Fall League Championship on Saturday, defeating the Salt River Rafters by a final score of 4-3.

The Javelinas were aided by a couple of highly drafted prospects, including third overall pick of the Seattle Mariners Mike Zunino. The catcher accumulated three hits and two RBIs in the game, which helped make the difference for Peoria.

San Diego Padres prospect Rymer Liriano and Minnesota Twins prospect Nate Roberts each had three hits and Reds prospect Billy Hamilton added a triple that put the game out of reach.

The championship wasn't without controversy, as the Rafters issued an official protest for a play in the seventh inning in which Nationals prospect Brian Goodwin was called out for leaving third base early. At first, it had appeared he had successfully tied the game until one of the umpires overturned the call.

Chris McGuiness of the Texas Rangers was named the MVP of the league after putting up 27 RBIs, tops amongst all players.

The Arizona Cardinals lost their fifth straight game on Sunday, as the Green Bay Packers knocked off the Cards, 31-17.

The Green Bay Packers used a strong passing attack to hand the Arizona Cardinals their fifth straight loss, this one by a final score of 31-17.

Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw for four touchdowns, and the Packers were in control of the game for most of the day. Arizona tied things up at 7-7 early in the second quarter, but Green Bay scored 17 unanswered points and never looked back.

Fantasy studs and duds

Rodgers put up another gem of a fantasy performance, throwing for 216 yards to go with four touchdowns and an interception. He also added 36 rushing yards on the day.

A host of wide receivers put up big numbers -- Arizona's Larry Fitzgerald finished with 74 yards and a touchdown on a 31-yard catch and run.

Green Bay receiver Tom Crabtree had just one reception, but he made it count -- a 72 yard touchdown in the third quarter that extended the Packers' lead. Randall Cobb, meanwhile, pulled in two touchdowns to go with 37 receiving yards and 29 rushing yards.

A couple of Packers receivers were unable to get in on the action though, as Donald Driver recorded just one catch for ten yards and Jermichael Finley had just six yards of his own.

Did they cover?

Green Bay entered today's contest as 10.5 point favorites, meaning their 14-point victory was enough to cover the spread.

What's next?

The Packers will have a bye week before taking on the Detroit Lions on Nov. 18. The Cardinals also have a bye week followed by a road matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

After three quarters of play, the Green Bay Packers lead the Arizona Cardinals by a score of 31-17.

The Cardinals were able to make up some ground earlier in the third quarter thanks to a 31-yard touchdown pass from John Skelton to Larry Fitzgerald that capped off an eight-play, 87-yard drive. Later on, they closed the gap even further on a 20-yard Jay Feely field goal. It was the second lengthy drive of the quarter for Arizona, this time going 11 plays for 74 yards in a little over five minutes of possession time.

But the Packers kept pace with their opponents, adding a field goal of their own at the beginning of the second half after Skelton was picked off deep in his own territory. Later on, in the closing minutes of the quarter, Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers hit wide receiver Tom Crabtree on a 72-yard strike to extend Green Bay's advantage to 14.

Arizona and Arizona State are on the outside looking in of the latest AP Top 25 Poll.

Four teams from the Pac-12 are ranked in the newest installment of the AP Top 25 Poll, including three in the top 10.

Oregon remains at No. 2 in the poll, ahead of No. 7 Oregon State and No. 10 USC. Stanford moved up one spot from last week to No. 19.

The Arizona Wildcats and Arizona State Sun Devils each picked up a handful of votes in the poll--seven and five respectively. The Wildcats improved to 4-3 on the season after a 52-17 victory over the Washington Huskies and will have a chance to build on that win with a matchup against No. 10 USC next week.

The Sun Devils, on the other hand, were less successful, suffering a blowout loss against the Oregon Ducks. They dropped to 5-2 on the season.

A complete list of the AP Top 25 Poll is below.
