Sutton is wearing a precautionary boot after spraining his toe.

The best defensive player in the Pac-12 is dealing with a sprained toe. Will Sutton, who recently won Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year, is in a walking boot after an x-ray came back clear, according to Tyler Lockman of FoxSportsArizona.com.

At this point, it does not appear that Sutton's presence is in question for a future bowl game for the Sun Devils.

Sutton, who is only a junior, led the Pac-12 with 20 tackles for loss and was third in the conference with 10.5 sacks. His Sun Devils' led the conference in pass defense.

This isn't the first injury he suffered this season. He sat briefly with a knee injury that he sustained in the team's loss to Oregon.

Arizona State is awaiting word on a bowl game after finishing the regular season with a 7-5 record. The Sun Devils concluded the regular season on Nov. 23 with a win over Arizona.
