The junior defensive lineman was also named to the All Pac-12 First Team.

After a fantastic season, Arizona State Sun Devils defensive lineman Will Sutton was named the Pac-12's Patt Tillman Defensive Player of the Year on Monday, according to ArizonaSports.com.

The 6'2 Sutton led the Pac-12 with 20 tackles for a loss and ranked third with 10.5 sacks. His spirited defense helped the Sun Devils lead the conference in pass defense and pass efficiency defense on the 2012 season.

In addition to his Defensive Player of the Year honors, Sutton was the lone Sun Devil to be named to the All Pac-12 First Team. His teammates, linebacker Brandon Magee, and safety Alden Darby, were named to the All Pac-12 Second Team defense. Senior punter Josh Hubner was also named to the second team.

Sutton capped his stellar junior season with five tackles (three solo) in the 7-5 Sun Devils' 41-34 win over the Arizona Wildcats last Friday at Arizona Stadium, in the battle for the Territorial Cup.
