Arizona State Vs. Oregon State: DT Will Sutton expected to play

Mark J. Rebilas-US PRESSWIRE

Arizona State defensive tackle Will Sutton (knee) is expected to make a return in a limited basis this Saturday against Oregon State.

Arizona State DT Will Sutton's knee injury has progressed enough to the point that he is now expected to play this Saturday against Oregon State, according to Zach Buchanan of the Arizona Republic.

Here's what ASU head coach Todd Graham had to say about the possibility of Sutton's return Thursday:

"I think Will's going to be able to go...It'll probably be a game-time decision how much. But I feel good about it.

Graham confirmed that Sutton won't be playing every snap Saturday but he did guess he would play close to "75 percent."

Sutton injured his knee on the second snap of the Oregon game two weeks ago after forcing a fumble. He had to be helped off the field and has watched the past two contests with a brace on his knee.

During this breakout season, Sutton has racked up 7.5 sacks and 14 tackles for loss. In his absence, ASU's defense has allowed 618 combined rushing yards against Oregon and UCLA. Oregon State already doesn't run the ball that well (114th in rushing yards per game) but Sutton's return is sure to make QB Cody Vaz sweat a bit more as well when he drops back.
