Despite a strong start to the season, the 5-1 Arizona State Sun Devils did not make the first installment of this year's BCS standings.
Coming off a 51-17 thrashing of Pac-12 doormat Colorado on Thursday, as well as a solid 5-1 start, Arizona St. was not included on the initial release of this year's BCS standings.
After seven weeks of the college football regular season, the Alabama Crimson Tide are atop the first BCS rankings. SEC foe Florida comes in at No. 2, with the Oregon Ducks holding the No. 3 spot, Kansas State No. 4 and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at No. 5.
Four Pac-12 teams made the BCS list, with Oregon State at No. 8, USC at No. 10 and Stanford at No. 20 joining Oregon in the standings.
Arizona State can make a statement on Thursday evening when they face Oregon at Sun Devil Stadium.
