ASU vs Coppin State preview: Sun Devils prepare for Pac-12 in final non-conference game

The Sun Devils will host Coppin State in their final non-conference game as they play host to Coppin State.

The Arizona State Sun Devils will end their non-conference schedule on Saturday, Dec. 29 as they take on the Coppin St. Eagles at Wells Fargo Arena.

Freshman guard Jahii Carson will continue his special season as he goes into the contest averaging 17.9 points and 5.3 points per game. No freshman since Shaheen Holloway of Seton Hall in 1996-97 has averaged 17 points and five assists in a season. ASU (10-2) has already bested its win total from a season ago, and things are looking up for Herb Sendek's squad.

Carrick Felix is averaging 9.7 rebounds per game over the last six games to lead the Sun Devils in that category. On the season, Felix has averaged 16.6 points and 8.1 rebounds. He's shooting an outstanding 61.3 percent from the field and has added 16 blocks to shore up the frontcourt on the defensive end of the floor.
