There was lingering doubt in whether or not TJ McConnell was committing to the Arizona Wildcats but it looks as if that doubt is no more - McConnell will be a Wildcat.
This tweet from Valley of the Suns' Mike Schmitz pretty much sums it up.
"Just received a text from TJ McConnell that he did indeed just commit to the #ArizonaWildcats. He chose UA over Virginia."
The sophomore guard is transferring from Duquesne and the University of Virginia was the other school mentioned to be in the running for his services.
McConnell will redshirt this upcoming season due to NCAA transfer rules but will have two seasons in Tucson, beginning in 2013. Having McConnell in line behind Josiah Turner and Jordin Mayes makes plenty of sense for coach Sean Miller and his staff, who pulled out all the stops during McConnell's visit to Tuscon last weekend.
It looks like Point Guard U just landed itself yet another point guard.
